@agatha @GamingNews also of note is that 16 & 17 year olds will be banned from using social media after 20.30, a technology curfew

@pancakes @GamingNews @agatha yeah actually, I don’t know. How do you determine how old a teenager is? It’s one thing to work out who is and is not an adult. But how do you work out who is 15 and who is 16?

@agatha @GamingNews @pancakes yes, but there is no routine requirement for anyone, adults or children, in the UK to carry documents of any kind, nor do we have a national ID. The only identity documents a teenager would have available is a passport

@yassie_j @agatha @GamingNews same here. we have passports and state issued drivers licenses or proof of age cards (if you're 18+)
i already have issues with my proof of age card as is even with australian exclusive stuff
i'm sure a public age verification system would accept those but in australia and the uk it seems to be entirely left up to private entities to verify identity
