@pancakes@GamingNews@agatha yeah actually, I don’t know. How do you determine how old a teenager is? It’s one thing to work out who is and is not an adult. But how do you work out who is 15 and who is 16?
I remember being young and seeing all the teens faking IDs to enter night clubs and also going to bars and buying alcohol with said fake ID. (interesting enough they could enter brothels without IDs and drink there)
<sarcasm>at least it will generate jobs to graphic designers entrepreneurs </sarcasm> just pray they don't start asking for your NIN at every online purchase (as it is here) as a side product of this...
@agatha@GamingNews@pancakes yes, but there is no routine requirement for anyone, adults or children, in the UK to carry documents of any kind, nor do we have a national ID. The only identity documents a teenager would have available is a passport
@yassie_j@agatha@GamingNews same here. we have passports and state issued drivers licenses or proof of age cards (if you're 18+) i already have issues with my proof of age card as is even with australian exclusive stuff i'm sure a public age verification system would accept those but in australia and the uk it seems to be entirely left up to private entities to verify identity
