@fiore i think my install might be fucked but steam and things that interact with steam (but not the games directly) crash constantly and it pisses me off
i can't find anyone else who has the same issues
i really don't wanna leave arch though

@pancakes @fiore gaming on niri natively is a fool's errand in my experience, just put steam under gamescope first and see if anything improves

@halva @fiore i guess i can try putting the entire client under gamescope if that's what you mean. but idk how to switch windows inside gamescope and i think that enables the deck ui

@pancakes @fiore gamescope automatically picks up the game window if you enable steam integration with -e, and no, steam won't switch to gamepadui or especially steamos3 mode inside gamescope, that's always an explicit parameter

ymmv tho, i still add -gamepadui to steam because i just prefer it
