I’ve been following the devlog of the videogame Gangstalker, being worked on by the musician and YouTuber jam2go. It’s conceit is interesting, in that you control the player, but you observe the player through CCTV, facial rec cameras, etc. Obvious commentary on the surveillance state. Some of the cameras have recognition software, so they recognise the player. Sure, fine. But what I thought was a brilliantly unique idea is that the cameras can recognise objects that the player character cannot see, adding to the psychological horror aspect
