mastodon needs to steal the "labeler" innovation from blusky.
being able to opt-in to labeling yourself and having others be able to opt-in to seeing those labels is very awesome.

@foone ok serious idea here for how it could work, as a fedi developer. how about a system where instance admins can create two types of labels, self-assignable and mod-assignable. self-assignable can be added and removed from your profile by yourself and federates to other instances. mod-assignable can only be added or removed by moderators and are local only. also in this case labels would visually be a unicode/custom emoji and a text field.
