@pancakes they are generally good for non tech savvy people (and even for non developer Linux enthusiasts) but trying to do development on it is a nightmare.
it wouldn't be so good if not for flatpak. if there was no flatpak and everyone had to install every package thru distrobox or worse as layered packages it would be awful
