@Baa @ari those were already wayland native im pretty sure, the thing that got merged refers to embedded content, like in OBS or steam . i dont think thats the framework electron makes use of but i might be wrong

@fiore @Baa yeah, fwiw i believe discord does have wayland support, just very shoddy pipewire support at this time.

@ari @Baa yea ,and also wrt pipewire ive found it much much better lately , but . i dont rlly use it much

@fiore i still have lots of apps not getting picked up by discord without vencord installed, and even then, the time it takes for discord to pick up on a new source is pretty annoying (firefox creates a new pipewire source whenever a page starts playing audio, for example)

@ari @fiore purely speculative but i think discord is still using pulse for audio which is why native pw apps seem to have no sound when streamed

@ari @fiore i've experienced this with mpv and sdl3 which both default to pw audio
