@pancakes need to get out of burnout and add the patch to sharkey that adds _sharkey_isCustomDefault and _sharkey_isInstanceDefault properties to all reaction federation so they can be dropped
@Chloe@julia i haven't really used sharkey but previously being on iceshrimp-js default reactions to me feel like a way to visually indicate to yourself what is a like versus a deliberate reaction

users reacting with neocat heart under a shitpost about neocat heart is not the same as reacting to every post you like with neocat heart
nevermind by forcing remote software to ingest this shit as reacts you are polluting other peoples databases with garbage data, which makes me and the rest of the sharkey team look like assholes for making software that does that
@pancakes@Chloe sharkey will be allowing other software to drop custom default reacts in a future release. I am genuinely of the opinion that if you think it is a bad thing to give software the means to ignore these, than you are no better than people patching software to disable delete activities.
