I watched this long before @yura convinced me to set a catboy avatar and supposedly even before joining fedi, so never associated Cat Noir to catboy culture

Probably yes. You may call it a cartoon for children because of a classical "superhero story", but the plot is kinda well-developed, main characters are 15 years old and relationships are depicted not as in other cartoons.
