@pancakes in late 2020 i created my sona because i wanted to draw a little guy and make em look cool. months later in early 2021 i picked the character back up and basically made it just "me if i was a fluffy-ish cat"
@pancakes so quite literally it was a matter of convenience from makin a lil guy and turning said lil guy into "me." it's a stand-in, really. the little cartoon cat that i hide behind online is me and embodies me as a person. i am the character, and the character is me. if that makes any sense.
@pancakes I either put a guy in a box with a bunch of random junk, and shake it, or I just say "Fuck it, let's do the first thing that comes to mind and find a way to make it work."
@pancakes Poppy Farbird was initially supposed to be just a character when I first drew her. Then, I started seeing myself in her, and for a bit, he was a male nerd, then they became two separate characters of opposite genders, then they went back into being one fursona until they became female again. Pretty confusing what I did, but so was me learning about my gender identity, lol.
