so apparently posting links to content-warned mastodon / chuckya posts on discord now turns the content warning into a title element and puts the full post content, unmarked, into the embed text? who thought this was a good idea??? this is the opposite of what content warnings are supposed to do!

i tested signal as well and there it still has the - correct - behavior of only showing "content warning: lewd" in the embed - it used to be like that on discord as well, but something must have changed recently
A Discord message containing a link to a post i made. The embed shows the word "lewd", the content warning of the post, as the title of the embed. Below that is the text of the post, here censored with black scribbles and the words "uncensored content" in pink placed on the scribbles.

@stella this is a new feature on discord. it's mostly an improvement i think but this specific issue is a huge oversight which probably comes from discord people mostly using twitter
