@Jessica huh, that's interesting you say that. In our experience, Linux users from the ones we've met seem to constantly want things to change and be updated and add more shit
@12 you should know as well as I do that there's a massive group of luddites that think because their computer uses 0.5MB of ram more than it needs that their computer is bloated.
@Jessica hrmm. Perhaps we're just connected to a different group of Linux users. Linux users in our experience are the AMD GPU-using, Hyprland (if that's still the DE of the week)-using folks who mostly run, like, NixOS. Maybe we've avoided the other group? Not sure
@Jessica huh, interesting. Admittedly our exposure to Linux has dropped a fair bit since we jumped all our stuff over to Solaris, unfortunately triggered by NixOS and the realisation that if that's the way Linux is going, we'd rather not
@12@Jessica me here on my linux machines with an nvidia gpu and complaining about how Linux changes too fast. mainly in reference to how command line tools feel like they’ve added 200 new flags, removed all the flags I was used to using, changed the name of several commands. it’s annoying. I don’t want Linux to stop evolving I just want to have stable command line parameters, configuration files and tools.
