i'd use gnome but its like . it looks so fucking good and is extremely usable but on the other hand it also feels like "Software Opinionated In Like The Worst Way Possible That It Fucks Up Everyone Coming From Anywhere Else". i get its supposed to be minimalistic but like . wtf . where clipboard manager . where my settings . and why tf all my apps got these shitty looking window decorations wtf !!!!
the extensions are really cool though and they "fix" a good amount of issues but its still fucked because i install like 50 of them to make it usable for me and it works but it feels incredibly unpleasant to use with the stuff i add. and it pretty much breaks after an update or something
so i use kde . its fine for me and doesn't have these issues . i think my major issue is only just that i wish they added Split Monitor Workspaces Holy Shit Where Are They and dynamic tiling (because the only good tiling extension died and the rest that exist just suck)

@sneexy using gnome atm for fun and having no clipboard management or emoji picker is horrible
also I have really really annoying artifacting on my desktop (RX 6950 XT) but not on my laptop (AMD Barcelo)

@pancakes @sneexy fun fact there actually is an emoji picker but only for GTK apps for some dumb reason, nothing system-wide

@kib48 @sneexy of course it's not system wide that would make too much sense
