Fedi. We need to have a chat about the word "meta". Not sure if ya knew this but it is impossible for *oma users to mute the word "meta" without also muting any post that contains those letters in that order. Someone posts about metal music? Muted for containing meta. Someone posts about Meta the company? I don't get to read it. There has got to be some other way that we can make this shit filterable for people's mental health beyond just putting "fedi meta" in content warnings because, even behind a content warning, if half my timeline is posting about it, that's the whole timeline swamped for as long as the current issue is ongoing. It's bad.
