Question about toki pona Okay, so like- I get that toki pona is like a RISC of languages- it has a lot less words than any other or something, so some things are just communicated as a series of words rather than a single word. But like, isn't the entire point of words to convey something that would be multiple words otherwise in a more concise manner? Then again, I might have things wrong, I haven't really looked into the language too much.

re: Question about toki pona @julia from what i understand it allows you to convey a much broader range of concepts with fewer words. of course as you said if you need something more specific than you can use more words in order to specify. that's the case in english as well but admittedly not nearly as much. context is also a huge helper as well, if you know there's a cat i can call it soweli and that conveys what you need to know. all of this also just makes the language really easy to learn.
