please give me something better than discord
i need something that's even close to discord
matrix's encryption and federation are so cooked that it makes it hard to use
but we need to stop giving our communications to inaccessible and closed platforms

@pancakes I heard about XMPP but I've never used it myself

At this point I just use signal for talking to friends that have it, then matrix for like 2 people, discord for a few others... neofox_up

@lunareclipse i'm stuck with discord and instagram neocat_flop . discord for the pc owners in my friend group and insta for everyone else. even the one friend who said he wanted to use signal won't commit to it.
