iirc they deprecated something, make sure you don’t have the old non-functioning version

@steffo nah i'm using their fancy pylance thingy
The selected environment is used for IntelliSense, auto-completions, linting, formatting, and any other language-related feature.
this is just not the case

@pancakes yeah, pylance is proprietary

are you working in a module?

you might have to add a thing in
.vscode/settings.json if you are to get those working

@steffo normally pylance just works on my pc but it's just not on my laptop and I have python set up the same afaik
if there's a better alternative to pylance i'll use it though (everything just recommends pylance ofc)

@steffo i can get intellisense if i set the python language server to jedi but pylance normally is better
