also my current setup is unstable in a few hard to reproduce ways and i don't know if it's niri or something i've done with my arch install
notably steam is insanely unstable and i've had that issue with gnome and especially niri but never kde

i'm doing a fresh install because i'm getting a new ssd and while i'm not replacing my current one it will be much faster

i love niri but i think i will move back to kde once i do a fresh install in a week or two
this is mainly because the distro hopping itch is back and i wanna suppress it by switch de instead of distro
i know arch is my home so i don't want to waste time switching back to arch in 2 months

@kett at least with zed you can turn all of it off with a single toggle but it does worry me about the code quality
zed seems nice so far but if there is something better i would take it
i still stick to rider for anything c# though, it's hard to beat
