@Starcross in australia voting is handled by the australian electoral commission (aec) rather than the department of transport and main roads (dtmr)
that being said handling voting stuff without a drivers license (like if you're disabled) is a pain in the ass

afaik the issue is with bootloaders and different socs/sbcs needing kernel patches to boot which stops them from working properly on normal arm64 distros
i wish arm computers (not phones) worked well with regular linux distributions i want to try an arm laptop for no reason in particular
so cool how transit app sometimes assumes ive walked to the next train station on the line rather then getting on the train it knew was on the platform i was on
