@MxSpoon sure but irc doesn't have features that regular people expect from a messaging platform, matrix refuses to fix or improve fundamental issues such as moderation, and xmpp is incredibly fragmented and confusing to get into if you don't have someone to help you
iceshrimp.net now has atom, json, and rss feeds like iceshrimp-js did. you can find links to feeds for users on your instance on their profile page. users with private mode enabled will not have feeds. for technical reasons i had to change the url that the feeds are at compared to -js. they are now at /users/{id}/feed.{atom,json,rss}. feed readers should be able to discover users' feeds by providing their regular profile URL instead (tested with freshrss)
trying to beat discord at this point seems pretty cope i don't know how you are meant to realistically even scratch something with theoretically infinite money and that is a useful tool for intelligence agencies
