@jeder this cpu doesn't exist apparently i made that model number up. i have no clue what's actually in the pc because it's half taken apart but i don't want to remove the cooler
@iro_miya it really sucks how often this happens. it makes me not want to use them (i just shouldn't) but sometimes i'm at a station and need a drink (i should get a water bottle instead).
how specific are hard drive mounts? can i just 3d print them? i've got a case with 6 slots but only 3 of the things you screw the drives into (it's second hand). i wanna build a fast homeserver but it makes more sense to stick with the old hardware i have until (or if) i hit the limits of it. that includes this huge case with dubious cooling and missing drive mounts.

rider has a very common crash bug (RIDER-102338) on linux that is a 5 character modification to fix. i'm too impatient for 2024.2 to release though and don't want to use snapshots so i just fix it myself. if you're using rider and it crashes when a run/debug finishes remove exec from /usr/share/rider/bin/rider.sh line 173. this is a workaround people were using in the comments that works for me silly
