@nano @ari to add to this you can even get hat drops, though they are very rare. I finally got my first last week after 1900 hours neocat_laptop_notice (I'm an outlier afaik)

my 3d printer isn't working any more. all 3 axis have full range of movement. the bl touch works correctly. the bed and end heat correctly. I haven't updated the firmware and it can't connect to the Internet (normal). it can read the contents of the SD card. whenever I try to print it will heat up, auto home and then stop. the progress will count up and after a few mins it'll say print done. I thought the model exported wrong but models from months suddenly don't work either. 3d printing isn't my hobby it's a regrettable purchase that I rarely find uses for but now it's not working

@jeder this cpu doesn't exist apparently i made that model number up. i have no clue what's actually in the pc because it's half taken apart but i don't want to remove the cooler

@iro_miya it really sucks how often this happens. it makes me not want to use them (i just shouldn't) but sometimes i'm at a station and need a drink (i should get a water bottle instead).

how specific are hard drive mounts? can i just 3d print them? i've got a case with 6 slots but only 3 of the things you screw the drives into (it's second hand). i wanna build a fast homeserver but it makes more sense to stick with the old hardware i have until (or if) i hit the limits of it. that includes this huge case with dubious cooling and missing drive mounts.

the only difference i can find is base/boost clock speeds which i guess makes sense. GT is slightly cheaper with a lower base and a higher boost

what's the actual difference between ryzen 5 5600G and 5600GT? i've never seen the GT before and it was oddly difficult to find the page for it on AMD's website compared to the G

rider has a very common crash bug (RIDER-102338) on linux that is a 5 character modification to fix. i'm too impatient for 2024.2 to release though and don't want to use snapshots so i just fix it myself.
if you're using rider and it crashes when a run/debug finishes remove exec from /usr/share/rider/bin/rider.sh line 173. this is a workaround people were using in the comments that works for me neocat_laptop
