this game turned from fun and quirky to wanting to break my controller so fast it's awful the CPUs have perfect handling and practically never slow down unless hit. drifting basically does nothing and i can't take any corners unless i slow to a crawl (the CPUs do not do this). i can't avoid a banana or track hazard without spinning out and any slope over 2 degrees instantly kills you. it's such a fuck you coming from any other mario kart game
i was really excited to try spaghettikart when i heard about it but jesus fuck mario kart 64 is genuinely one of the worst games i have ever played i've completed mkwii twice and almost completed mk8d so i'm not bad at mario kart but mk64 is just fucking unplayable
